Ruben Holstead "... b. probably in Currituck Co., N. C. about 1775; d. near Riley, Vigo Co., Ind., just prior to Dec. 16, 1853; m. in North Carolina probably about 1804, Elizabeth (Preston) Pearce b. in North Carolina, presumably, about 1772; d. near Riley, Ind., about 1845 ..."--P. 105.
