The 1909 Rabbit was themed, "Houseboat on the River Styx."

The Plastic Club, one of the oldest art organizations for women in the United States, was founded in Philadelphia in 1897. Emily Sartain of the Philadelphia School of Design (later the Moore College of Art) and other female artists created the club to promote women’s artwork and encourage artistic collaboration.
