Item Description: Part 2 of de Bry's collection known as America gives an account of expeditions by French Huguenots to Florida under Jean Ribaut (1562), René de Laudonnière (1564), and Dominique de Gourgues (1567). Jacques Le Moyne is the author of the account of the Laudonnière expedition and the artist of the drawings. The authors of the other two accounts which follow the plates have not been identified.
