Prisoner activities documented include war work, baseball and football, the barber shop, bakery, poultry farm, machine shop and craftman's shop. Pictures radio broadcast called "The Prisoner Speaks." Many views of prison riots and violence among the inmates. Shows crowd scene outside prison during Al Capone's stay. Also depicts the construction of the Federal Penitentiary in Lewisberg. Includes documentation of the Rockview Penitentiary, highlighting capital punishment. Contains a view of the newly constructed Frank Smith House, an addition to the facilities of the State Industrial Home for Women in Muncy.
