Portrays wounded soldiers from Africa leaving railroad cars as they arrive at the hospital. Contains views of handicapped persons, people in wheelchairs, blind persons, documentary medical photography, and a view of surgery. Shows nurses, psychiatric staff, and volunteer helpers from the WACS and the Red Cross. Many images depict the soldiers eating and drinking. Portrays celebrities visiting the hospital, particularly Connie Mack and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Depicts patients watching boxing matches and baseball as well as playing golf on the hospital course. Of note are several images of wounded Japanese American soldiers.
