Summary: Documents the Pennsylvania National Guard as well as the militia in New Jersey and Delaware. Includes military reviews and inspections, recruiting and enlistment, mobilization, maneuvers, and training. Depicts camp life, particularly at the Indiantown Training Camp in Pennsylvania. Portrays recruits saying their goodbyes to loved ones at the train, parades, and images of guardsmen recreating. Also contains images of the cavalry with their horses, militia wearing gas masks, the building of pontoon bridges, radio operators, aerial photographers, airplanes and tanks. Of note are photographs recording maneuvers on the newly opened Pennsylvania Turnpike. Also includes activities of the Pennsylvania Reserve Defense Corps.
