Germantown Telegraph subscription book
Subscription book for the Germantown Telegraph. The paper was started by Philip R. Freas, who in 1830 started the Village Telegraph, which was later renamed the Germantown Telegraph. This may be one of the earliest examples of a community newspaper in a non-urban environment.
