It consists of printed matter, such as circulars and flyers; bills and receipts; correspondence; ephemera; empty envelopes, and a couple legal documents. Much of the material originated from Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Among this grouping is a letter from Pennsylvania governor David R. Porter to General S. Miles Green concerning the sale of the Mill Creek Furnace in Lock Haven (30 October 1844), as well as a printed "Act to Incorporate the Lock Haven Bridge Company" (4 March 1850). The empty envelopes are from the 1880s, and they all came from Philadelphia businesses. Also of interest in an undated table of distances showing mileage between various Pennsylvania towns for the purpose of toll-taking.
