Summary: The Balch Jewish greeting cards collection is comprised of over one thousand pre-printed greeting cards and postcards, most of which have Jewish themes, including religious holidays and other cultural references. Most of the cards are signed with handwritten notes of a few words or more. All the cards in the collection date from the 1980s and 1990s. They have been roughly arranged into groups by holidays and events. General cards not associated with particular holidays, as well as miscellaneous cards, have been placed at the end of the collection. Some cards feature Hebrew or the Yiddish language.
