This is a collection of Maryland and Pennsylvania surveys, 1716-1835, covering a wide field of information on the early settlements and subdivisions of land. It includes land warrants as issued by the province, petitions for road building, drafts, indentures, agreements, showing the land holdings and the names of pioneer settlers; a volume A Book containing the Records of the Surveys made by John and George Churchman, circa 1744-1777. There are also records of the Quaker Monthly meetings held at East Nottingham, and other places, 1743-1805.
