Preserver: Straight, narrow, embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mat: Oval with sandy finish (late 1840s). Case: Leather covered wood frame half case embossed with a scarce floral design (Berg No. 4-69) on the back, with a gilded interior edge trim and a red pinchpad (ca. 1850). |
