This is a minute book of the burgesses of Pittsburgh, which also contains rules and ordinances. Some pages have been numbered, others have not, and the pages appear to have been assembled from various sources. There are numerous pages that are organized to start from the back of the book, so appear upside-down and in reverse order when paging through the book from the beginning. These "backward" pages are an index to and a copy of the Act to incorporate Pittsburgh into a borough. They have been re-ordered and oriented to be readable. Original volume is held by the City of Pittsburgh. |
