Summary: A historian and foundation administrator, Clark has written extensively on the Irish immigrant in urban society and Irish life in Philadelphia. The microfilmed portion of the collection consists of Clark's diaries, travelogues, and other writings, as well as clippings, photographs, a transcript of a 1988 taped interview with Clark, and other items. The originals of some, but not all, of the microfilmed items are in MSS 37. (See collection folder for MSS 177 for more information, including an index prepared by Clark.) Overall, the collection consists primarily of research materials, including research papers, drafts of Clark's writings, articles and clippings, correspondence, manuscripts, book reviews, and cassettes. Also present are materials relating to the Clan-na-Gael of Philadelphia. Register and inventory available.
