Its goals included the establishment of a white ethnic political caucus and fair representation of white ethnics in education and the media. The committee also supported better relations between black and white ethnics. Its newsletter, A New America (changed to EMPAC! in 1976), was published by Novak and was an influential spokesman for the new ethnicity during the mid 1970s.
