Of note are parade images showing street scenes in Ocean City, N.J., Reading, Pa., Philadelphia, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., and Scranton, Pa. American Legion community service programs are depicted, including views of the Keystone State Boys Camp. Many Pennsylvania American Legion posts are depicted; the Wanamaker post and the Henry H. Houston 2nd post are among the most prolific. These subject entries for the Philadelphia Record newspaper's photo morgue are primarily for Places (buildings, parks, streets, etc.), Things (Bicycles, Bison, Blind Persons [just sampling the B's]), Events (Democratic National Convention 1936, Flourtown Fair, Harvest Week) and Social Constructs (Home Economics, City Planning, Eating & Drinking, etc.).
