Summary: Contains elevations, floorplans, sections and details for the Potts Residence (both Joseph D. and William M.) in Wyebrooke, Chester County, Pa. Included are details of the ceilings, cornices, doors and doorways, dormers, entablatures, parquetry floors, friezes, gutters, lintels, mantels, roofs, skylights, stairways and windows. Also detailed are moldings, plaster ornaments, finials, trusses, and gables. Collection includes plans for the Isabella Furnace near the Potts' residence including floorplans, elevations, sections, details, and roof plans for the superintendent's office, the mansion house and stable, the screen house, coal house, crusher house, ore house, engine house, charging house, and bridge house. Machinery used in the furnace operation is highlighted, especially the crusher, charcoal kilns, drilling apparatus, engines, boiler, and retorts. Of note are plans for a blueprint filing case designed by Thomas H. McCollin. Mines are depicted as well as test mine shafts. The Franklin Schoolhouse is shown depicting elevations, sections, floorplans and details of the interior and exterior. Collection includes plans and maps of Chester, Cameron, Lancaster, Berks and Elk counties. Also shown are Pennsylvania Railroad surveys.
