There is a group of deeds, mortgages, and other legal papers, some of which pertain to property in Philadelphia's Southwark section. Among these is an early deed from Gainor Jones and Mary Jones to Owen Jones (1773). Another set of items in the donation are tax bills from the Office of Receiver of Taxes, Philadelphia to Daniel Foster for his property in the 3rd ward, 1859-1876. Additional items include a list of loan accounts, 1817; a group of judgment searches on William S. Thomson, 1847, 1852; Philadelphia Record, 26 September 1891, and the Fairmount Park Art Association's first annual report with an address by Benjamin Harris Brewster (published, 1872). | ||
