Summary: Photograph of a woman holding a bucket for a horse to get water from a “watering station.”  The photograph was taken in support of celebrating the 31st anniversary of Women’s Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  Once common in Philadelphia, these watering stations provided water for horses pulling carriages, trucks, and cable cars throughout the city and were largely installed by the WPSPCA.
