Summary: Photographs of historic Fort Mifflin at the juncture of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.  During the Revolutionary War, Fort Mifflin was the site of a battle between the Continental forces and British forces under the command of Admiral Howe, whose fleet sought to land at Philadelphia in 1776.  During the Civil War, the fort was used as a prison for captured Confederates.
