Azilum for Marie Antoinette
Asylum was founded during the French Revolution in 1793 in Bradford County, Pa., by aristocratic French refugees as an asylum for themselves and for Queen Marie Antoinette, who was unable to arrive. In 1802 Napoleon I invited them to return to France, and most immediately did.
