Vol. 1 is a History of the Friendly Association of Regaining and Preserving Peace with the Indians by Pacific Measures. The volume is extra illustrated with portrait reprints, maps, handwritten copies of documents and clippings from the association's newsletter. Vol. 2 is a sequel to volume 1 and noted on the spine as Pemberton Papers, Printed MSS. It contains 18th century published letters and some in manuscript form from the Pembertons to other Quakers.
