The only link is that a Mrs. Gore, sister of Elizabeth Elliot, is staying with the Plumstead family who reside on Front Street in Philadelphia. In the letters are discussions of family and personal matters, particularly health issues. Based on the paperstock, some of these letters appear to be copies. According to a note inserted with this material, most of these letters have been printed in Eugene Devereaux' "Chronicles of the Plumstead Family" (Philadelphia, 1887). | ||
