Preserver: Fancier with inward points at the corners (after 1858). Mat: Oval with matte finish and ornate (late 1850s). Case: Paper covered wood frame embossed with a floral design on both the front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad and a red velvet cushion embossed with a flower and vase design (1850-60s).
