Preserver: Fancier with inward points at the corners (after 1858). Mat: Oval with matte finish and simple embossed design (1850). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame, not embossed, with a push-button fastener, and brass hinges, interior gilded trim details, with a green velvet pinchpad and an red velvet cushion embossed with the photographer's advertisement (1850s). |
