Donald Vining was a New York City writer, editor, and publisher. The diary discusses his experiences growing up in Pennsylvania and as a student at West Chester State Teachers College, and reports on his employment, theater activities, and homosexuality. This is a typescript by Vining condensed from the original in Yale University Library. Portions were published in A Gay Diary, 1933-1967 (New York, 1979-1981).
